Mississippi Mud Studios and Clay Supply is now located in the historic Fountain Park business and creative arts campus at 2728 Asbury Road Dubuque Iowa. The studio previously located on Bluff Street in the Cable Car district had outgrown its two room basement space.
Ken Bichell, then owner, wanted to make sure that clay art kept going in the Dubuque area, so he agreed to sell the business to Gary Carstens, one of the associate artists of Mississippi Mud. Seeing the need for more space, more off street parking and convenience of a central location, Gary moved the studio to Fountain Park.
