My passion for working in clay began 35 years ago as a self-taught potter.  Since then I have become full-time , with a focus on traditional and abstract functional pots, fired in electric, gas, and wood-fired kilns.  Over the years, I have participated in workshops and residencies with David Leach, Peter Voulkos, Robert Arneson, Mark Hewitt, Rudy Autio, Don Reitz, Jun Kaneko and others, which have enriched and inspired my work.


Since 2001 I have assisted clay artist Paul Soldner at workshops in Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska and California. Along with selling work at shows and galleries, and doing special commissions, I occasionally teach private and group lessons. I have been a wood-kiln partner and member of 20 DIRTY HANDS  since 2001.
